Please find my full portfolio at: www.oliver-murray.com A creative, quality-driven womenswear designer who recently graduated from the renowned fashion design course at Central Saint Martins in London. I am seeking to put several years of experience gained from assisting the Creative Directors and Senior Designers of luxury ready-to-wear brands, to produce their collections from initial concept and prototyping through technical design, PLM and post-production logistics within time and cost restraints, to use in a new team. With specific experience of luxury and sustainable wovens, leather and denim garments and hardware/accessories, I am available for full-time or freelance positions, based in New York City or remotely.

Provided full support to Creative Director, Senior Designer and Production Manager in tasks such as: pattern making; preparing research, color and skin swatches, drapes, sketches and color-ups for review; technical drawing; maintaining up-to-date line sheets and BOMs; tracking samples and entering data to the brand’s custom PLM platform through Microsoft Access. Produced and talked through design specs for new products with garment factory technicians to ensure samples were understood and constructed flawlessly, within production deadlines. All QC was completed in-house, thus developing an incredible eye for detail which highlighted our Spanish factory’s lower standards. I addressed the issues with the factory manager directly and quality was improved as a result. Personally connected with distributors in Japan for a special SAGA Furs X Karl Donoghue collaborative pop-up installation in GINZA GSIX; overcoming logistical issues to design, source skins, pattern cut and create detailed specs for 3D construction instore, within the timeline and budget constraints presented to me.
