I’m a hard working graduate from the University of Liverpool with a background in language and science. I have achieved a first with honours in Philosophy and I’m looking for a job that will enable me to develop and make a real difference. I am focused, results driven and a creative thinker. I have experience in: customer service, PR, marketing and social media. I am best when faced with a challenge and enjoy working as part of a team to come up with a solution.
For the past 4 years, I have worked as an undergraduate intern for Satellite PR, a London based PR agency with a commitment to corporate and social responsibility. Their portfolio of consumer and healthcare clients includes: Sudocrem, Encona Sauces and Butchers Pet Food. The work has been very varied ranging from; Attending the Baby Show at Earls Court and selling Sudocrem from the stand. Sometimes in a kangaroo costume. Analysing data and providing consumer insights for new business proposals Taking part in creative thinking sessions and helping to produce proposals Recruiting GPs for a medical society - three days with a clip board at the RCGP conference Sourcing content for a Peruvian themed blogger launch event, which required nice goody bags. This was for the launch of a new Encona sauce Writing the copy for the Guild of Food Writers Blogger of The Year Award sponsored by Encona Building relationships with clients and media I am most proud of coming up with the idea of Student Cook of the Year, which was sponsored by Bacofoil in 2014 and is now sponsored by LoSalt and supported by Asda. The competition attracted hundreds of entries including lots from the University of Liverpool.
For 6 months, I worked in the customer service department for the award-winning wine retailer: Naked Wines. This was a fast-paced result driven job that involved: talking on the phone to often difficult customers, writing emails and sometimes even live chat. As part of this role, I was expected to meet high feedback targets and attend regular team training sessions. I also took part in and contributed to many company updates.
