For part of my university course, I partook in a 6-week placement at Link Communication Marketing Agency and was given a range of different responsibilities. • I was involved in a campaign for the Rotherham Bus Service. This involved talking to members of the public and informing them on the new service as well as handing out leaflets and capturing data. This proved successful as there was an increase of customers using this service. • I helped with employing staff for different campaigns by searching for members on recruitment agencies website’s and calling them asking for their availability. • I created a contact list and newsletter to advertise Link Communication for upcoming campaigns which successful as they resulted in an increased number of clients for the company. • Through a lot of face to face interaction and phone calls, this improved my communication skills. • Learnt different marketing strategies such as creative marketing campaigns. • Better knowledge of using Microsoft Excel • Used CRM software to promote specific campaigns
Worked within the Customer Service department in a 6-week work placement as part of my university degree. I took on several roles at my duration at the council which improved my communication skills. • Responded to emails from members of the public on a range of different queries such as information on public events. • Went out on the floor and spoke to members of the public face-to-face regarding any queries they had. • Was involved in marketing the Customer Services department through the use of Social Media, using relevant hash tags and eye catching tweets. • Took part on several online management courses which related to team work, time management and leadership skills.
Pushing sales and committing to customer needs, creating the best shopping experience • Working my way up for a Team Leader role where I was responsible for the rota and managing different sections of the floor, to ensure that things were running efficiently. • Strong communication skills gained from talking to different customers in person and over the phone. • Working as a team with my colleagues in different touch points of the store for example in the fitting rooms. • Leadership skills gained from my training to become a team leader.
