About me


A driven individual with a strong interest in marketing and social media, specifically its role within the fashion and retail sector given my previous work experience. However I see social media marketing as an extremely powerful tool for all industries and my passion is to keep people connected. Having worked in both retail and e-commerce I have developed a keen interest in the inner workings of a business and the effort that goes into its eventual success focusing on all areas including buying and merchandising as well as CRM and digital marketing. In my current job role I have also been able to develop good relationships with suppliers, organising orders and also visual marketing and ways to promote the brands as an independent retailer. I thoroughly enjoy reading in my spare time, reading blogs and good books and of course maintain my social media following in order to keep on top of the most relevant content for both work and general. I am hard working and passionate about projects and believe there is always room for growth as both an individual and a team. I am reliable and have excellent time management and organisation skills. I am confident when dealing with others and I am always willing go the extra mile to ensure that work is done thoroughly and efficiently. I have also taken on freelance writing over the years which has been particularly interesting in broadening my writing topics and I have found this writing experience integral in building a more solid portfolio of written work and fine-tuning my style both in print and in fashion.

  • This role has been incredibly varied, gaining experience in all areas of an independent business. Initially employed as a sales assistant, my primary responsibilities have been providing high levels of customer Service - in store and online - processing online sales, listing products via Magento and writing copy for products. Unpacking and processing deliveries, working on the till, replenishing stock and the general housekeeping of the business. Most recently I graduated to more responsibility as Assistant Creative Director of the company, responsible for all levels of social media, merchandising the store, directing the company’s mail shots and producing successful emailers adhering to deadlines. This has also led to liaising with Marketing and Customer Service representatives from well known brands as well as dealing with sales channels Amazon and eBay.

  • I was responsible for delivering the high levels of customer service which Reiss as a company is known for, developing my own knowledge of the brand and of the luxury fashion sector and maintaining the merchandising of the store. I also dealt with stock transfers, stock replenishment, working on the till and the general housekeeping of the store.As part of this role I was also encouraged through weekly meetings including team and skill building exercises and pushed to meet personal and in-store targets through both incentives and appraisals.

  • I studied a BA Hons in English Language and Linguistics, gaining a 2;1 at the end of my studies. I covered a wide range of areas from speech development to creative writing. I also opted to write a dissertation, focusing on language use and the influence of American English.
