Through the use of data and Google Analytics performance data, I have created strong marketing strategies for an independent brewery restaurant/bar business that has attracted more commercial clientele, boosting sales volume and additionally have led onto informal/corporate events, as we have doubled business and are leading the local market over other competitors. I take pride in digital analysis where I produce analytic performance reports that look at taking advantage of opportunities for growth and furthermore strengthening B2B/B2C consumer relationships. Additionally, social media platforms were essential as key low-cost promotion and sponsorship streams, attracting a wider range of consumers. Furthermore, I communicate with other businesses and utilize different mediums of communication best suited for that company.
I undertook a paid internship for Reed Business Information, working in the Marketing department with the Customer Insight Team. The placement involved a variety of tasks, including producing and giving PowerPoint presentations to the sales teams and communicating with staff members from different departments. The presentations that I created were forwarded to the directors of several brands, and the feedback I received was very positive. This placement provided me with a variety of benefits; communicating with senior marketing employees, attending board-room meetings, developing my transferable skills, delegation, insight into operations on a large scale. Overall, it showed me the reality of how a large organisation operates, and influenced my decision to pursue a career in marketing.
