About me
London-based but born in a small town in Finland, I work professionally as a photographer and independent documentary director. I graduated from Swansea Metropolitan University with a degree in Photography in the Arts in 2011. I have partaken in prestigious workshops, including the Atelier Du Visu Workshop with Antoine D’Agata and ISSP Masterclass with Aaron Schuman, and I have given lectures at Swansea College of Art. My photos are included in the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection, and my work has been exhibited internationally. I regularly work with a range of national and international clients such as The Guardian, The Telegraph, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Adidas, Red bull etc. At the centre of my photography practice is the desire to capture real human stories, and I often find myself working with people who are not used to being in front of the camera. As a whole, my projects explore the oft-repeated but rarely scrutinised idea of why a camera can enable easy access to people's lives, and what, then, is the responsibility of a photographer in representing others.

''The Arts of Mars'' is a visually stunning, short documentary that focuses on the Academy's female fighters and how they have found confidence and an empowering community through Mixed Martial Arts, or MMA. London-based director Ossi Piispanen joined the Academy's intense training sessions to portray how its growing members are creating diverse, inclusive space
