  • CUBA Ice Cream Salon
CUBA Ice Cream SalonNothing beats a summer's pop up project with ice cream on the counter. South American vibes, music and colours, a handful of leftover paint buckets, recycled furniture and tons of warmth. CUBA was an instant succes and had a former hotel for temporary home. Team: Pablo Hannon, Yousra Rifi, Kim Vandeloo
  • Educational Didactics Map and Guide
Educational Didactics Map and GuideA rough stack of notes and indications of a guide through unclear mountains of knowledge. This was the start of a new education publication, funded by the Flemish government, researching the interaction between different courses and how they would influence the didactics of these studies. The printed publication was accompanied by a virtual map, a website created by Mia Bac. www.vakdidactischecartografie.be
  • Ophelia Shoot
Ophelia ShootCreated for the Things I Like A Lot Blog, a creative collaboration between Sarah Pepels and Pablo Hannon, the Ophelia painting had to be painted that morning, in the warm river of Demer. Swollen green spread a mattress for Pepels, fireflies gathered on her dress. A summer's start.
  • We are wanderful, Milan launch/installation of a book
We are wanderful, Milan launch/installation of a bookDesign Week Milan and the astonishing Clerici Atelier were chosen to launch the book We are wanderful, a remarkable creative collaboration curated by Heleen Van Loon, Christophe De Schauvre and Pablo Hannon. Rather than conceiving yet another top 10 of design, I chose to open up the concept and go for the unexpected. The result was a 400 page collection of stories, quotes, wise words and images from the back alleys of designer's past. Shoots and illustrations, typographic experiments, the projec
  • Cultuur3, book design
Cultuur3, book designA rough educational research bundle, focusing on the didactics of culture (me, you and we), was transformed into an award winning publication (Henry Van de Velde Label, 2013). The concept included a curated series of short stories, enriching the triptych of the didactics of culture.
  • FORM exhibition design
FORM exhibition designDisplaying 10 designs from the past 25 years, conceived and created in Belgian province of Limburg. An atypical selection, driven by the ten chapters in the book We Are Wanderful (Lannoo, 2015, design: Pablo Hannon). The project was brotherly launched along with the book, first in C-Mine Genk, then traveled to Roermond, in the neighbour province of Limburg in the Netherlands. The exhibition graphics and communication tools were designed, following the concept of name and design.

Creative Director, Graphic and Interior DesignerHectica
    Hasselt, BelgiumFull Time
After leaving Creneau I founded Hectica, a multidisciplinary studio in Hasselt. Projects were diverse, so were the clients. Big brands like adidas Originals asked for branding and POS, new entrepreneurs asked for development of brand and store or company. If interior design happened once in a while, most projects were graphic. I love graphic design more than anything. Perhaps I love more than graphic design, but I do have a home in it. I collaborate in everything I do. When I used to be hungry in the beginning to want it all and to want to design it all by myself, I love sharing my projects with others, granting juniors opportunities to contribute somehow, and seniors to play or experiment with one part of my projects. I am not afraid of granting creative freedom, therefor I am strong in conceiving the right canvas for this freedom and its required roles. Hectica is my studio, and one of my many projects. www.hectica.com gives a view on some projects.
