I am a Music and Inclusive Theatre Performance Graduate who is a dynamic member of any group, self-motivated and always optimistic. I believe having a good work ethic is essential to any workplace. DLL Accountancy & John Venn and Sons Law Firm April 2005 – Present During a two week work experience in Secondary School, I worked as a receptionist and administrator at John Venn and Sons Law firm. Since 2005 I have worked there part-time and at their accountant’s firm. My responsibilities and duties included; meeting and greeting clients, making refreshments, filling, photocopying, archiving, assisting the accountant, data base input and being the first point of contact through email and phone.
Fair Play Barnet Support Worker / Holiday work Summer ‘10 – February 2016 I worked part time as a Support Play Worker at weekends and on school holidays. I supported young people on a one to one basis and in small groups. I worked with children with mild-to severe special needs from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. Within my role I have been liaising with parents and senior members of staff and the running and organising of play schemes. This job has enhanced my communication skills, my inclusive ethos and my approach to problem solving.
I was assigned to be a Learning Support Assistant to children with different SEN needs. My role has enabled and enhanced my skills to create and adapt the National Curriculum to a child’s specification. Alongside this, I created a behavioural support plan. It was a challenging environment to work in, but using my organisational skills effectively, helped me to conquer the planning of their time and mine efficiently. I also was an exam invigilator for year 2 and year 6 SATS exams. What I loved about my role was the opportunity to work with different types of people. My role enabled me to think on my feet, manage my time, and deal with complex situations on a day to day basis.
Christmas Temp. Working in Harrods was a very exciting working experience. I loved working within a team of people to create an elite customer experience. I worked on the shop floor dealing with the Public. I thrived off helping people and knowing that someone appreciated my help. I played the role of a sales associate my main duties were including, dealing with customers, handling money at the checkout, merchandising and replenishing stock.
