I worked on ensuring the product was produced to the best sizing and shape it could be. I produced patterns for new seasons development through to production.
My responsibilities included:
• Creating patterns for new season development by interpreting sketches received from the design team into 3D designs by draping fabric / drafting patterns
• Measuring patterns/garments and creating / updating measurement specs regularly.
• Present during all fittings, from 1st sample through to production, to advise on size and fit and take notes on measurements / changes / make issues / corrections.
• Liaising with factories regarding sizing, fit and make. Communicating any pattern changes to factories.
• Making any in-house corrections to patterns post fitting.
• Fabric cutting for in-house production.
• Managing the backstage running and set up.
