  • Developed and managed relationships with internationally recognized artists, galleries, museums, logistics companies and private collectors, bringing together these various stakeholders to launch a successful exhibition -Secured artists’ work and presence for residencies; communicating the benefits of participating in a residency to get artists to commit to providing the gallery with their work and presence during the residency -Drafted and executed contracts between all parties involved in the residencies and exhibitions, including artists, private collectors, galleries, museums, and professional transportation services Managed internal preparation and execution of the Residency programme and accompanying exhibitions, from initial artist research to securing five artists for the season, running from September until July -Created agenda for weekly inter-departmental meetings and implemented necessary follow-up and problem solving logistical issues -Oversaw the department’s artist files and research, using EmbARK database system and Excel -Managed exhibition turnarounds, supervising preparation staff, Curatorial Assistant, and Curatorial Interns, working alongside them to execute of Director’s vision for the exhibition -Created intra-office guidelines for maintaining safety of the artwork within the insurance policy coverage and conducted training sessions with security and art supervision staff and volunteers. Managed annual residency and exhibition budget by balancing projected income through artwork sales, donations, and residency costs and expenses -Gained experience in artwork sales and consulting -Responsible for all follow-up regarding the transaction including provenance, paperwork, tax-exemption forms, and artwork transport and installation services Worked closely with the Director, gaining invaluable experience working across multiple business functions beyond Curatorial, such as HR, Events Planning, Development (Fundraising), and Marketing.
