About me
In September 2016 I have completed my MA in Translation, Interpreting and Subtitling at the University of Essex. Thus, this year of study has been my main educational experience within the field related to Translation Studies, however I have been trained on different Translation fields as Financial/Scientific/Political/Touristic /Machine Translation, on project management assignments and Audiovisual translation (becoming an expert user of Wincaps Quantum 2016, and good user of other software such as Aegisub and Subtitle workshop). At the moment I'm working as freelance interpreter for the NHS and several Councils in which I reached ca. 500 hours of practical work (English, Italian and Spanish). My language pair is English into Italian and into Spanish as well; I hold a C2 DELE certificate and in addition for my dissertation I worked with the three languages. About additional practical work I had work experience in hospitality, catering and retail environments, which gave me varied skills and the ability to work with many different types of people. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm. I consider myself very good at planning, with high problem-solving skills.
