I bring with me nearly 10 years experience in video production and editing, having worked across a variety of sectors including commercial and B2B publishing, computing, finance, insurance, housing and entertainment. My clients include Penguin Random House, Transferwise, Travis Perkins, The Co-op, Electrocomponents and Whitbread. I have worked with both Sony and Canon cameras over the last 8 years, ranging from the Sony FS7, FS5, PDW700 and the NX5 as well as the Canon C100, 300 and XF305. I have an extensive background in editing and using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects. I'm also highly experienced in colour grading, multi camera edits and green screen keying. I offer video and audio production services, from developing ideas both creatively and logistically procurement through to the production and post-production. My skillset includes scripting, sourcing equipment and facilities camera operations, lighting, audio recording and editing. I also work on live video and audio web seminars, with responsibilities including camera operations, vision mixing and directing. My clients include Vox Media, Penguin Random House, Coty, Incisive Media, InfoPro Digital, TransferWise, 3xScreen Media, Pearson Education and DHX Media.
I oversaw the technical development and management of the Vox TV and Radio studio, managing the productions both in the studio and on location. These productions included live broadcasts, webcasts, pre-recorded interviews, presentations and promotional videos for FTSE 250 companies including Uniliver, Travis Perkins, Whitbread and Diploma. I managed all aspects of production, from the development stage of budget management, storyboarding, scheduling and site visits through to kit and crew hire, creative filming decisions through to post production and managing the time frames of each project, ensuring they were delivered on time and to the client's requirements. I also developed, improved and maintained the quality of the studio output. This included researching, trailing and implementing new equipment to offer different audio and video output options as well as backup and storage solutions for all of our projects.
I was responsible for the production of video and audio content within Penguin Random House as well as the running of the facilities within the Media Suite. I worked alongside marketing divisions to develop ideas and then produce this content across different social media channels, retailers and booksellers both in the UK and internationally. I managed and operated the facilities within the Media Suite as well as train staff members to operate the equipment. I also managed the budgets for the Media Suite and invest in new equipment to meet business needs. I liaised with creative agencies and freelancers to produce a roster for all divisions with the necessary resources, services and skills for their marketing campaigns. I also worked with these agencies and freelancers to help produce content for Penguin Random House.
I was responsible for operating the television studio independently and as part of a team for both live and pre-recorded production., which included down-the-line reports, interviews, round table discussions and media training. I liaised with national and international clients including; FOX Network, NBC, France 24, Russia Today, Al Jazeera and Ernst & Young. I also produced video content both in the studio and on location interviews for a showbiz YouTube channel. Editing on Final Cut Pro for a variety of projects, including news packages for European news channels. Organising and managing the content for the FTP servers. I handled client and customer enquiries, dealing with them as appropriate, including taking studio bookings, booking freelance staff, equipment and managing the diary.
I managed studio projects for both live and pre-recorded production, overseeing all technical aspects as well as set design, post production and managing the CMS for several channels. I also produced live webcasts, developing and delivering the content with bespoke interactive services tailored to each client. Furthermore, I covered many roles during the live events, including directing, camera and lighting work and audio mixing. I developed my skills in managing several projects simultaneously, whilst working under pressure to deliver on time and meeting the clients’ expectations. I also designed, planned and implementing training workshops for staff in operating filming equipment, enabling them to producer their own content for their channels.
Working in a high pressured, live television environment, I supported the directors, vision mixers and graphic designers in providing and animating graphics for live programmes. I also organised and updated the graphics systems to keep up with the constantly changing news schedule and to ensure they were all accurate and ready to go live.
