I'm a multilingual MA Filmmaking graduate with experience in research and production of documentary and short/feature film. I'm experienced in producing low-budget short films from development to distribution. I wrote and produced two short films this year (2017) and one of them ("Twenty Minutes") has been picked for Encounters and Aesthetica film festivals. My particular interests are comedy, social justice, and narratives that bring unheard voices on the screen. I'm also the co-founder and editor of a Finnish feminist and anti-racist online magazine CANTH.Locked Pro Plan feature

Back in Touch is an interactive feature comprising a series of 8 short films narrated by a group of citizen reporters from Sierra Leone. The films are universal stories that explore how community, family and friendship were affected by a crisis that put a whole country on hold - for over a year during the crisis, all public gatherings were banned, and people were afraid to even greet each other in the street for fear of infection. It is an interactive feature that allows the audience to communicate directly with the narrators of the story. The audience are asked questions relating to the content of the films to encourage them to put themselves in the shoes of the people who lived through Ebola. Funded by the European Journalism Centre’s grant for Innovation in Development Journalism, it’s also been published by Le Parisien (France), De Correspondent (Netherlands), Internazionale (Italy) and aired by the Channel 4 News in the UK.
