As designer in-house, I was responsible for all the branding (acting as brand guardian), the printed production such as leaflets, catalogues, brochures, posters, etc; as well as the digital assets like banners, emails, etc. My position also involved working independently or with other members of my in-house team, developing creative concepts, marketing and content strategies. Often working closely with other designers and agencies of the likes of The Office of Craig Oldham, Alexandra Taylor or The Mill in projects such as the Awards Ceremony, Judging Week or the New Blood Exhibition. Liaising with printers and collaborating as front-house in events.
Created advertising campaigns and branding strategies for clients such as Coca-Cola, Nokia or Movistar.
Responsible for the running of the bi-monthly magazine, its layout and production, which involved curating the content, commission illustrators, photographers, or other collaborators when needed, as well as all printed and multimedia artwork needed going from its identity to banners, adverts, and other applications. Collaborating on the radio channel and organising exhibitions.
Created printed and multimedia artworks for clients such as La Casa Encendida or The Miguel Delibes Auditorium.
Designed and developed the photographic exhibition Encubrimientos (Concealments), hosted by Cervantes Institute of Madrid for PHotoEspaña 2010. This project includes the graphics, signage and installation of the exhibition, invitations, totems, banners and a catalogue.
Created multimedia artworks such as layouts for websites, banners, commercial e-mails, logos, advertising, and other applications.
Created printed and multimedia artworks such as posters, advertising, packaging, brochures, corporate identity applications and web design.
This Master covered all areas about design such as Typography, Printing Techniques, etc as well as all the areas focused on publishing from books to magazines to the latest digital formats in tablets, apps or epubs. It included master classes with figures such as Albert Folch ('Apartamento' Magazine creator) or Pablo Rubio (Designer and editor of magazine 'Matador')
This was a year I did as part of my Erasmus Scholarship. The focus was mainly on design on different areas. I made my final essay on how museums are affected by government's founding in terms of being obliged to get more and more visitors each year, and how their branding affected/helped them to achieve this.
My degree lasts for 5 years (BA + MA), the first three are dedicated to the following subjects: Painting (including theory of colour and a range of techniques), Drawing (from living models), Sculpture (techniques for clay, wood and alabaster), History of Art, Technical Drawing and Composition and making of different painting media such as making your own canvases and preparing your own acrylics. The last two years are to develop your skills further in these areas but with the addition of different subjects of our choice. I choose Design, Visual Arts, Anthropological Studies and Photography to complement my studies.
