Peter Taylor: a multidisciplinary artist creating printed and digital design, music, photography, illustration, animation and web design. He has been creating since he could pick up a crayon and can always be found working on a film, composing, writing, reading or drawing. He both a professional and experimental artist working across the private and charitable sectors.
Working as a freelancer my services include: Branding Web/ digital design Print design (marketing collateral) Photography (including retouching) I have recently rebranded various small and medium businesses. Building innovative and beautiful branding, printed marketing and engaging UX are constant driving forces in my work.
I manage all marketing, design, sales and communications for an independent publisher, specialising in illustrated books for people with learning disabilities. In two years I have increased sales by over 400%, designed and developed a strong and recognisable brand, and built an active social media buzz from scratch. I have successfully managed high profile events and PR campaigns, including working alongside Hugh Grant, BBC London and Good Morning Britain. I have built an ecommerce platform, streamlining all sales and distribution. I am also responsible for managing the accounts, running the office and filming and photographing our events.
I worked as an intensive family support officer, which involved building programmes in order to get families with complex needs back into employment and education. I worked alongside solicitors, nurses, head teachers, carers, MPs to name just a few. Throughout my time in this role I helped secure a safe environment and future for children involved in an international child abduction case, as well as providing ongoing support for families struggling to move on from criminal lifestyles.
I initiated and managed a pilot project which delivered training in Logic Pro to children and young adults with educational and behavioural difficulties (EBD). I branded, advertised, marketed and managed the project, as well as supporting the delivery of the course.
I provided life coaching as part of the Delivering the Destination EET initiative which offers information advice and guidance to young people at risk of NEET (Not in Education Employment or Training). My role involved managing varying workloads and staff, including head teachers, school staff, project workers and students. My duties included organising events and providing counselling to help guide year 11 students into further education, employment or training.
I began working for Waterstone’s as a regular bookseller while in full time education. I then proceeded to manage in-store marketing and pop-up point of sale, POS design as a senior bookseller. I also managed a number of large-scale book launches and author signings.
Two of my animations were exhibited as part of the 2005 awards
