Working with a range of internationally acclaimed culture magazines, I have created a strong portfolio of social and editorial campaigns alongside my writing projects – specialising in producing creative content for arts, fashion, culture & music. Day to day I co-manage Wallpaper*s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms, which have a 4 million total audience, alongside solely managing the magazine's Pinterest board – which within the first month of my management saw a rise of a million monthly users. My daily duties also include running Wallpaper*'s Daily Digest on Instagram stories and building multiple articles on the site's CMS, using SEO to create metadata friendly content. For larger sporadic duties across the week, I assist the Social Media Manager with creating editorial and paid social campaigns, as well as working on various writing projects for the magazine.
Currently the Social and Editorial assistant for HUNGER TV and Rankin, I write features, interviews and news pieces daily for the music, culture, fashion and photography sections alongside my social media responsibilities; Which include: Managing social media posts for all of HUNGER's social media channels, scheduling posts, planning strategies and scraping data for week-on-week analytics. I also assist with the creative team at Rankin for upcoming projects.
Writing features for the third issues of the zine which promotes female DJs and producers in the electronic music industry. Pink Noise has been featured in Mixmag and i-D.
Copywrite features from high-profile brand press releases and created cutting edge fashion content to accompany online editorials.
Working with the art and photography team I have had multiple stories published onto the site, ranging from feature to news length. Completing in-depth research profiles of artists for the editors and pitching my own ideas and thorough knowledge on using CMS.
For one month I worked on the local news site, mainly writing stories, ranging from breaking news, short length pieces and feature length. For a short time I was editor of the site, making sure a consistent number of pieces were posted but also keeping control of a team of 15 news reporters. I was also sub-editor of the news site for a period of time, ensuring every piece of written work posted was perfect and aligning with EastLondonLines style.
My month’s work experience at Wonderland saw me take a number of responsibilities. As a fashion stylist my main role was to make sure samples were documented, returned and picked up safely. I also worked styling a number of celebrities and editorial shoots. I was also occasionally in charge of the magazines Instagram.
I had a two-week placement at the fashion magazine, my main role was transcribing interviews with multiple high-end designers and big figures within the fashion industry. Going through newspapers in the morning to pick out any potential news that could be turned into a story. Make sure the magazine’s emails were in order and look out for any ideas for the magazine.
Received from the London Citizen Journalism Competition for a feature-length article about the decline of traditional markets in the capital. The award was sponsored by London South Bank University.
