  • Over the last three years studying BA Hons Journalism at Goldsmiths, University of London I have been taught a number of valuable skills which are applicable to real-life journalism. I've been trained in HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding, which has already come in handy whilst editing for EastLondonLines - a number of pieces needed interactive graphs embedding in the code on Wordpress. Confidently, I can use industry standard camera equipment and editing software for news reporting and photojournalism. Creating multiple news story videos for our university's newspapers social media platforms. During my time at Goldsmiths, I have refined my writing skills, and have been closely mentored by my tutor teaching me how to write to multiple journalistic styles such as; news reporting, vox pop, feature writing, court reporting, copywriting, interviewing, and reviews. My final project demonstrated the extent of my learning and understanding of my course over the years. My multi-media feature explored the decline of traditional budget food markets in London and the social tensions caused by the rise of private street food and farmer markets in low-income areas. My piece went on to win the Best Multi-Media Journalist award at the London Journalism Citizenship Competiton.
