Home of Metal celebrates Birmingham and the Black Country as the birthplace of Heavy Metal and in 2011 held 12 exhibitions, a film festival, an academic conference and various events. With a press campaign reaching over 3 billion people and an editorial value of over a £1 million, it was a huge success. As Project Manager my role involved liaising with partner museums and galleries, funders and sponsors. I contributed to the curatorial process, managed the Marketing team, developed brand identity, maintained budgets and oversaw the planning and delivery of the project as a cohesive whole.
