Currently working in the Capital Markets Sector of Marcus Evans as a European Sales Exec. My day-to-day involves approaching the top banks around the world and selling our world-renowned conferences to them. I believe in finding the right product for the client and helping prospects really address issues they are facing.I really enjoy the high-octane enviroment and pressure that a position like this comes with and I always maintain a highly professional standard in all of my calls.
Presented an original project idea for a telecommunications company to a boardroom of 4 colleagues and answered a Q&A after; proved myself as a clear presenter and someone who can implement feedback effectively in order to improve on work quickly and efficiently. Was given a number of smaller projects that involved quick social media strategies to be completed under 24hrs; this tested my ability to gather data quickly and was a great reflection of my efficiency. Often combining project advice from colleagues in different roles helped me produce clearer work.
Worked on the General News desk which was an engaging and adaptive process where I worked alongside three others; learning what made a story popular or not for that specific week was immensely valuable. Independently developed a well-received news story as well as handle the day-to-day tasks.
Given a single task over the weeks to create a campaign in which an original idea had to be achieved and relayed to a boardroom; working closely with another individual throughout was a dynamic and inventive process in which I showed my ability to accept changes to my work, handling criticism well. The task required the handling of statistics and data tables in which I am naturally confident.
