As a marketing and communication executive I have always strived to improve the performance, sales and brand appeal of every company I have been involved with. A hard working, creative and friendly team player, with strong communication and organizational skills, gained from a broad experience in target driven, customer focused positions, my objective is to be part of a successful and energetic team working on exciting projects, in a dynamic role with scope to learn and good opportunities for career progression. Job satisfaction is key and I feel the chance to be able to make a real contribution is fundamental to that.
Reporting directly to the Customer Service & Marketing Manager, my role involves a high degree of multitasking across a diverse range of responsibilities. Some of my most worthwhile successes have come from finding solutions for common problems which have helped the company increase sales and Customer satisfaction. My current duties include: • Managing a team of interns and overseeing the production of 2-3 email marketing newsletters per week to strict delivery schedules, modifying html templates, content checking and creation. • Improving the CRM and identifying market segments to target within the marketing database. • Analysis of campaign and newsletter success with tools such as Google Analytics with a view to continuously improve opening, click and conversion rates. • Proposing new developments to improve website usability and conversion rates (e.g. a recently implemented virtual fitting room to recommend products that may suit the customer best). • Production of annual catalogues across 3 websites in multiple languages, with accurate product descriptions, images and pricing. • Liaising with and managing company use of external marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Zalando. • Training and managing employees within the external customer service call centre. • Implementing ways to measure customer service levels (recent example is the introduction of a review system) and constructively using that feedback to drive up satisfaction. • Identifying and taking steps to avoid fraudulent sales on the company’s website. • Arranging photo shoots by booking models, photographers, and studio time, controlling post production. • Coordinating customer services with logistics and warehousing to ensure the refund process runs smooth. • Organising commercial promotions, researching venues, meeting with collaborators, resolving problems to ensure deadlines are met.
• Responsible for the Spanish website and Spanish language html newsletter content, helped to expand the company’s Spanish market penetration increasing website visits and monthly sales. • Community Manager for the Spanish market, creating a big community of fans and followers across Spanish social media and building relationships with influential bloggers. • Spanish language customer service problem solver, using my communication skills to resolve difficult situations in the best way possible for the customer and company.
Specialising in medical, but handling events for a wide range of industries, I organised technical seminars, trade shows, press conferences and presentations. Working with fixed budgets I was often faced with the challenge of getting maximum value for clients, a challenge I relished and one which tested and helped develop my negotiation skills.
• Assisted in the organisation of the “Loewe Historical Heritage” exhibition in Madrid, and the “Loewe and silk” exhibitions in Japan, China and Taiwan. • Prepared and conducted guided tours of the exhibitions and the existing archive for clients, members of the press and LVMH employees. • Catalogued and archived information and samples on behalf of Loewe heritage.
As part of a small, niche travel agency specialising in trips to attend classical music concerts and festivals throughout Europe, I was involved in every aspect of the business, from discussing requirements and taking customer bookings through to organising group travel and accommodation, and maintaining relationships with suppliers of hard to source concert tickets (e.g. Vienna New Year’s concert). I also publicly represented the company during these events.
• Built effective relationships with key staff and helped tutor, motivate and challenge students. • Planned and taught my own pre-exam revision courses, which were positively received by students and teachers alike.
Responsibilities included compiling marketing reports, analysing marketing results, helping to plan campaigns and organising technical events for both current and prospective customers.
My duties included liaising with clients, helping to maintain good working relationships between them and the creative team as well as participating in brainstorming and ideas sessions. Clients included IKEA, Leroy Merlin & PC City.
