About me
Energised by forging paths for creatives and entrepreneurs, Pin combines her grounding as a creative, expertise in brand strategy, and practice in community management, to craft stories and experiences. She does so primarily through writing, content design, and business strategy. She’s also familiar with using no-code platforms to build businesses and experiences. Pin currently works remotely at NewCampus, where she led community experience, and is now working closely with the COO to shape people strategy and culture. In her own time, she runs a content studio (pulsepulse.world), writes a newsletter interviewing creatives about craft and consumption (objectively.substack.com), and document how creatives live and work 📸 (pinhanlim.cargo.site). Always thinking, hungry, and on the move—now mostly between London and Singapore.

My dissertation was titled "'Technological Fix': Humanoid Robotics as Socio-Political Strategy in Japan". Robots pervade workplaces, homes, and bodies. I embarked on this topic as I was interested in the ethical and cultural implications of advancing technologies (e.g. robotics) on people and societies. We often forget that humans are behind the creation of technologies — which are created to interact with us — and thus they hold human sentiments and even biases. Through this dissertation, I hope to highlight that robotics could reveal what it means to be human — our desires, identities, and politics, in conceptualising and interacting with them.
