I am a final year Anthropology undergraduate at University College London, working on a dissertation on robotics. Primarily interested in design research, strategy and insights, and organisation design, I aspire to make a sociocultural and educational impact through a human-centred approach to technology. Apart from my current position as Managing Director of a growing independent magazine, and previous internships at an advertising agency, design agency and bank, I have a wide range of other experiences. Having founded, planned and facilitated two conferences in Singapore and Timor Leste, I learnt that I enjoy event planning and management, and have strengths in organisation and being detail-oriented. In the realm of photography, I have been featured in a few magazines, exhibited in group and solo showcases internationally, and was part of a prestigious Singapore-based photography mentorship program. I am earnestly looking for a part-time internship in 2018, involving project/event management, marketing, organisational design, user/customer experience, strategy-making, design research, or research & development. On a personal front, I am working on an online platform which will be launched in the first quarter of 2018. The platform will feature interviews with entrepreneurs and creatives; a few topics of interest include technology, sustainability, and user experience/design. I am willing to step out of my comfort zone and learn, and am always on the lookout for opportunities to grow and contribute to companies whose ethos I admire and believe in.Locked Pro Plan feature

Three months before my Grade 11 term commenced at United World College, I had a strong urge to experience how it is like to start and manage a business and decided to start an online clothing shop. I had a go at learning skills like marketing, handling customer experience, sales, accounting, supply chain. In the process, I also learnt to develop creative direction and do basic website design, and honed my organisational skills. It was an invaluable learning experience, taking on creative and administrative tasks, such as taking photographs for the shop, writing copy, managing customer relations, acquiring wholesale stocks and handling numbers. At the end of three months, I decided to close the profitable shop to focus on school. In all, I learnt the value of being a self-starter and putting goal into action.
