I work in a leading VFX company and have been proud to work on projects including Guardians of the Galaxy, Cinderella and Hunger Games: Mocking jay (to name a few). My main role is supporting department managers and producers in EMEA, APAC and North America throughout the production pipeline process. I work closely with global heads and artists to ensure that client deliverables are met on time and to spec. I am accountable for scheduling projects – meeting with all Producers to ensure that we have a robust plan to meet all deadlines for multiple projects running simultaneously. I have daily and weekly working groups to make sure things are on track and to track any risks and tackle any issues as they arise. I have a strong understanding of cultural, artistic and communication considerations required when working in a global organization. With staffing levels required constantly in flux, I am used to onboarding new starters and making them feel at home, both personally and professionally. I am relied on to support the teams of artists any way that I can. I add a lot of value by sorting out those things that get in the way of the artists doing their jobs. I’m able to multitask and get on with things to make sure we get the best out of the other members of the team. I like it to feel like we’re all working towards the same goal. In my career so far I have discovered that I excel at administration and organization. I am often praised for being able to tackle multiple tasks at once and for being able to manage any issues that come up to ensure the team is supported to the best of my ability. I am used to dealing with both scheduled tasks and fire fighting when things go wrong. I believe that I am a very strong administrator and organizer and I would be an asset to any team. My role within the department has developed as I introduced and continue to organize teambuilding and social events, making sure that they are going to be exciting and fun for the team. I like to go out of my way to make a busy and stressful working environment as fun and motivating as possible. I believe that fostering this environment builds healthy teams that work well together and builds employee loyalty and trust.
