Head chef- private chef- cooking lessons- catering Responsibilities: I am responsible for a wide range of tasks including cooking, teaching, managing social media accounts, engaging with clients, sales, web design, communicating with companies, data entry, public relations, creating corporate graphics, advertising, administration, finance, upselling products and services, purchasing products and materials, answering calls, cold calling potential clients, and bringing in new business opportunities. • Takeaway: As a creative soul, I took the plunge and launched my very own cheffing business! I kicked things off by offering tantalising takeout options to the Maidenhead community. To make the ordering process seamless, I set up a slick website where customers could place their orders. I also kept the public in the loop with regular MailChimp updates showcasing my mouthwatering menu, ensuring they could get their orders in for our Friday pickups. I made sure to keep everyone in the know about my latest culinary creations through my engaging blog and lively social media vlogs. On pickup days, I loved connecting with my customers and building that special bond with them. Fostering a strong customer relationship was key to building trust and growing my business! • Private Dining; As a private chef, I took great pride in offering personalised dining experiences in the comfort of my clients' homes. I would meticulously plan and prepare a custom 3-course meal, ensuring that every detail from the cutlery to the crockery was taken care of. Communication was vital in this process, as I would work closely with the clients to tailor the menu to their preferences. The entire experience involved a full day of work, including meticulous preparation the day before the event. During the gathering, I would engage with the guests, answering any questions they had about the food while also offering additional products such as my homemade pickles and chutneys. Ultimately, my goal was to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for my clients through effective communication and exceptional service. • Pop-Up Restaurant: having great pride in my food, I joined a local pub in Maidenhead to take over and host a pop-up restaurant which entailed a 7-course tasting menu. This required 3 days of preparation and the involvement of the pub to make sure the night went smoothly. Communication and preparation were essential to make sure the night went smoothly. Creating advertising was created by myself so I could send this out to my client list and advise through social media, and via my takeaway clients. • Cooking lessons/ catering: When it comes to cooking lessons, my process begins with a visit to the client's home to understand their specific goals for the class. I carefully plan the lesson, creating menus and providing step-by-step instructions. I make sure to include detailed information about the spices we will be using, highlighting their significance in Indian heritage and their unique flavours. Additionally, I offer valuable tips on how these spices can enhance their overall lifestyle, including their medicinal properties. Throughout the session, I aim to build a strong connection with my clients, allowing me to showcase and potentially sell my products. To top it all off, I ensure that they have a wonderful experience by providing a complimentary bottle of fizz.
