Projects
- BoomingXThis video recorded the exhibit view of a series video installation called "BoomingX". The bamboo food steamers act as a unifying symbol of quotidian Chinese life and are arranged to suggest an ariel view. By employing the use of mapped microscopic and city imagery, this installation aims to illustrate growth as a fundamental element of life and reflect the multiple strata of the exponentially booming organism, society, and city, from both micro and macroscopic viewpoints.
- UndispersedThe installation “Undispersed” is a live video and sound installation used a non-stopped spinning ceiling fan (specially made) with colour stripes on it. The speed of spinning will be manipulated by the volume of sound surrounding through sound device and sensors. A projector will project live video from a surveillance camera that records on the site to the spinning stripes, then we will get lots of fragments of the live video all over the installation place. “Undispersed” based on delicate location of a local space and absurd atmosphere surrounding it, triggers collision, transition and coexistence in between of fact and illusion, reality and fantasy.
