  • Within the time I've been at Zone, my role has progressed significantly to include more senior responsibilities, being invited as a valued voice in internal discussions regarding internal and external resource and project planning. I have also played a huge role in setting up an agency wide skills audit event across 3 locations. I manage freelance recruitment, for anyone on a 6 week contract or less, and have played a key part in setting up internal management systems to track freelance costs and process, as well as coordinating the build of an internal database. Day to day, I work with a vast amount of people across two locations, in order to deliver the smooth running of both the weekly schedule and longer term project planning. I am often called on to project manage internal projects, and am currently being trained to sub-edit as well.

  • Account Management and Traffic: Working closely with the account management team on many projects I have gained first-hand experience in how the agency works and what the different roles entail. My everyday tasks include managing client’s demands on creative and digital jobs, raising PO’s, collecting quotes for print, illustration and photography, foreseeing and organising freelance work and creating PPTs to present to client. Responsibilities also included liaising directly with clients, setting up an internal workflow system for the digital team and helping trial job bag systems with the intention of rolling them out throughout the entire agency. •Office Management •Digital: I have played a huge part in the set-up of the new ghg house website, contacting photographers and forming image license agreements across the whole site. Additionally I am learning to do front-end coding (HTML, JavaScript) in my spare time, and played a part in setting up the holding page for the house website.

  • So far I have assisted mainly with the social media element of this new company, creating more of an impact across a wide range of social mediums ranging from Polyvore to Google+ and more popular accounts such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, using Hootsuite to time manage and ensure a constant presence. I have attended in-house meetings about the Christmas campaigns, and met with editors and PR companies to ensure maximum coverage. Other responsibilities have included a pro-active role in the organisation of press day merchandising, compiling a busy and thorough events calendar, creating Google Analytics reports and maintaining and improving the vast database that plays a crucial role in every day organisation.
