Collaborated with the design team to assist with two simultaneous design projects. Managed various backstage operations during their London Fashion Week show at Somerset House. • Hand manufactured fully-fashioned knitted garments for their Autumn/Winter 2014 production and Spring/Summer ‘15 London Fashion Week catwalk collection • Sourced and arranged payment for freelance workers to assist in the production process. • Liaised with London factories to monitor the quality of the garments and ensure that they matched technical requirements. • Responsible for coordinating with PR companies to ensure the brand and collections were successfully promoted. • Maintained the brand’s image through their social media accounts leading up to and during the runway show.
Assisted in the research and development stages of the company’s first women’s knitwear range. • Advised and fed back to the design team on key trends for the upcoming season. • Worked with the production team and factory partners to monitor the manufacture of the collection, and to ensure lead times were accurate and deadlines met. • Helped to maintain the brand’s luxury reputation by hand-finishing detail for some pieces in the collection. • Assisted with product quality assessment, packing, and distribution, to ensure products arrived safely and on time to customers
Assisted the Head Textile Designer with two design projects. • Helped with event coordination at their London Fashion Week show. • Devised design concepts and ideas, which evolved into the production of colour palettes and textile swatches for the Resort 2015 collection. • Conducted research on the viability and practicalities of design ideas within a production environment and fed this back to the head textile designer. • Sourced fabric, trims and embellishment options from Britain and overseas. • Produced specification drawings for garment designs and created mood boards using Adobe Creative computer programs.
Supported the Design team with research, development, production and international distribution of three design projects. • Devised and developed new design concepts and products, mainly using computer-aided design programs • Created innovative fabric samples for partner companies such as The White Company
Collaborated with the Genesis Colors design team helping to manage the production of their Satya Paul luxury sarees collection. • Worked in a very hectic and unfamiliar factory environment to ensure technical specifications upheld in manufacturing process. • Communicated regularly with production to make sure that the collection development process and lead-times were on track with the schedule
• Worked alongside the design team on two collaborative projects which ran alongside each other. • Carried out seasonal colour, yarn and trend research • Sourced high quality Scottish cashmere for production purposes, in accordance with the brand’s Scottish heritage • Calculated quantities of yarns required for production and wrote up purchase orders working within the production budget.
