I have utilised high levels of organisation to manage multiple project simultaneously. Duties include: • Communicating with mills in India and China: negotiating production timelines, ensuring sampling instructions are clear, providing sample approvals/ rejections, processing Order Memos. • Liaising with UK and US based clients to develop products to the best outcome and creating original artworks as per client briefs. • Designing prints, wovens and embroideries for the luxury interiors market. Solely responsible for designing the Proposte 2020 trims collection. • Attending Trade Fairs in London and Paris to gather design inspiration and market awareness. • Responsible for mentoring and supervising the Design Team intern. • Logging all design developments and updating the sampling spreadsheet and pending projects.

    Siyaram Silk Mills is an Indian supplier of upholstery and drapery fabrics to major furnishing fabric converters and brands across the globe. While working here I assisted the company in reaching its annual growth target of 30% by providing contemporary, market-relevant inspiration and creating trend-led designs, including a US bestseller. Duties included: • Utilising strong hand painting and CAD skills to create designs, also selecting from in-house artworkers and archives; • Managing design boards, trend boards, artwork archives, sales feedback files, yarn libraries to facilitate a smooth running of the design studio; • Taking the initiative to provide the studio with direction for colour, pattern and material; • Successfully fulfilling assortment plans, meeting design briefs set by Marketing team and clients, working within budget and to tight deadlines; • Grouping jacquards, dobbys and embroideries to produce Heimtextil 2019 collection, covering Domestic, Contract and FR fabrics. • Liaising with the factory, sending colouration files, selecting new yarn Pantone references, approving piece-dyed lab dips.
