Rachel Long is a poet, facilitator and curator. She was awarded a Jerwood/Arvon Mentorship in 2015, and was mentored for one year by Caroline Bird. Her poems have featured in Magma, The Honest Ulsterman and The London Magazine. She is assistant tutor to Jacob Sam La-Rose on the Barbican Young Poets programme, and leads Octavia, a poetry collective for women of colour at Southbank Centre, London. Octavia have featured in The Guardian and on BBC World Service, they've run poetry workshops for The Serpentine Galleries and at Oxford University, and they've performed at Women of the World and The London Literature Festival. Inspired by Octavia, Rachel has curated 'Telling Her Story', an open workshop series for women of colour, hosted and in partnership with Southbank Centre.Locked Pro Plan feature
