In choosing to study at Central Saint Martins, known for it's reputation in meaningful projects, I got to be immersed in design through my classes but also my location in Central London. Taking a keen interest in creative problem solving and observational research, Product Design seemed a perfect fit. I got to work with real companies, such as JTI, Nespresso and JosephJoseph within university grounds, learning early on how to work with clients. Coupled with my gap year, where I visited Taiwan, New York and Amsterdam, gave me a chance to visit completely new cultures has shaped me to the designer I am today, that is focused on UX/UI design, wanting to draw into the heart of why people behave and how to utilise this to create a better experience.
Curious Wonders hold two festivals, Wildfire Adventure Camp and LeeFest : The Neverland. As an intern I currently work on social media artwork as well as festival decor across both of these.
I make floral crowns for weddings as a side project
Performing tasks such as organising payments, reconciliation of those payments, organisation of events, seating charts, managing event numbers and able to call those whose membership fees were overdue. It needed someone who was organised, innovative when things went wrong, and professional on the phone and in person.
I worked with multiple clients such as Jamie Oliver, MET police, OgilivyOne, TFL, Silver Rail, sometimes at the same time. I got the opportunity to work in several of the stages of UX/UI such as Vox Pops, Focus Groups and prototyping. As shown on my LinkedIn I also got some great feedback from those I worked with.
I would be responsible for reductions, promotions, maintaining the fridges. While there I would also work on the cashiers if they were down on numbers. I was well known for my courteous manner and even got recommended by my manager for dealing with problems well and rewarded a prize.
