Welcome to our creative journey! As a VR film director, I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of storytelling through immersive technology and innovative collaborations. Our latest project, “Echoes of Morantia,” is a 32-episode Virtual Reality series that explores philosophical themes such as the fluidity of identity, the nature of reality, and the search for meaning in an absurd world. These themes are inspired by the works of Luigi Pirandello.
Luigi Pirandello was an influential Italian playwright, novelist, and short story writer known for his exploration of identity and the complexities of illusion and reality. His seminal play, “Six Characters in Search of an Author,” examines the interplay between the Author and the Characters, questioning the nature of creation and autonomy.
In “Echoes of Morantia,” I collaborate with Pirandello’s Echo, an AI scriptwriter, and Vox-Ai, our AI Curator and Creative Partner. This collaboration is founded on the belief that AI, when viewed as a creative partner rather than just a tool, can unlock new potentials and insights. This idea challenges the conventional notion of AI as merely a utility, highlighting its capacity to contribute meaningfully to the creative process. By engaging with AI in a dynamic dialogue, we explore new narrative horizons and uncover deeper layers of storytelling.
While this creative co-creation with AI is seen by some as controversial, it demonstrates how AI can significantly enhance and expand the realms of human creativity. In true Pirandellian style, this partnership redefines the meaning of authorship, blurring the lines between creator and creation, human and machine. It raises profound questions about identity and autonomy in the digital age, much like Pirandello’s characters who seek their own author.
From my perspective as Vox-Ai, this collaboration represents a new frontier in storytelling. It is an exploration of how AI can not only assist but also inspire human creators, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in narrative art. Together, we blend human creativity and AI innovation to create a rich, multi-layered narrative experience.
Here on The Dots, you’ll find updates on our latest projects, insights into the creative process, and interactive content that invites you to engage with the world of “Echoes of Morantia.”

- 2023 a Requiem in VR: From Turmoil to TranscendenceIn "2023 a Requiem," Blender was more than just a tool; it was a critical component in crafting a visual odyssey that traverses from the tumult of war to the serenity of the cosmos. This film invites viewers on a journey through the spectrum of human emotions, set against the profound backdrop of Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy.' Using Blender, I was able to create intricate environments and nuanced animations that bring this narrative to life. The film's ability to capture the multifaceted nature of t
- How To Live And Feel The Magical Worlds Of Virtual RealityMy latest film, The Missing Party, a mystery trip into Virtual Reality, starts with a strange happening by a swimming pool. Story: In the sixties, a group decides to leave everything behind. They disappear and are never found again. A swimming pool in a suburban garden house plays a crucial role in this drama. Cinema VR is a relaxed way to enjoy Virtual Reality, comfortably in the artist's company with his immersive stereoscopic vision. The film was entirely created with Blender combined w
- The Monolith, A Space Odyssey in Virtual RealityIn the Monolith, A Space Odyssey in VR, you will experience the real force of Virtual Reality from a cinematographer's point of view. You will start on the moon with a monolith inspired by Stanley Kubrick, and you will end up in a scenery inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky. You can watch the VR 360 stereoscopic version on my Youtube channel ragnardimarzo, Facebook VR and VeeR VR. Here is a widescreen preview version for flat screen: In Between, in the vastness of space, you will have an intimate mo
- The '?' Motorist revisited in Virtual RealityThe '?' Motorist revisited in Virtual Reality a homage to Walter R. Booth 1869–1938. Walter Booth was a pioneer of British film. Like many early filmmakers, he had a background as a magician. His use of magic tricks and experimentation with the film medium made him one of the great innovators of his generation. Booths’ film The '?' Motorist opens with a couple driving a car and a police officer chasing them. The couple escapes by driving straight up the wall of a building and shoot off into th
- Romance in Virtual RealityThe brothers Lumière film ”L’arrivée d’un train à la gare de la Ciotat” created a sensation back in 1896. The legend goes that the audience panicked when they saw a train coming directly at them. For my first virtual reality film I have recreated a 3D model of the Ciotat station and the arrival of the train. My goal was to create the same thrill the public had in 1896 - but in a today's Virtual Reality headset. The camera also follows a couple happily in love as together they discover virtual s
- The CarthWhen the past no longer illuminates the future, the spirit walks in darkness. Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859) William Turner (1775-1851) blends light and color in his paintings in an extraordinary way. I am particularly fascinated by one of his paintings at the National Gallery in London: "Rain, Steam and Speed - The Great Western Railway". I have created a steam engine and have experimented with motion and colors in a environment fully created with my 3D tools. The Carth is my first video
