Ranu Soor is a Hertfordshire based British Sikh female photographer. Following a career change in 2008 after raising her two children, Ranu trained as a portrait photographer with Barrett and Coe to fulfil her photography hobbyist passion to becoming a professional. Her photography interest led to pursue with her studies, recently graduating from University of Westminster with a degree in MA Documentary Photography (2020) and BA (Hons) Photography (2018), which has allowed broadening her theory knowledge to align with practical and technical experience.
Ranu's work primarily involves Portraiture and Event photography in which her curiosity lies within capturing the essences of emotions and expressions of the subjects she photographs. Her personal projects, some of which escalated during studies, implement the genre of documentary, exploring elements of social and cultural identity.
