Work history
Self employed Fashion Designer
Brookmans Park, UKFreelance
I chose to invest in continuing the brand I had created and the resulting SS17 collection was advertised in British Vogue. I went on to design AW17/18 and the 12-piece collection was showcased on a professional catwalk during London Fashion Week in February 2017. These experiences gave me a better insight into the industry and strengthened my desire to be part of it.
Womenswear Designer
- London, United KingdomInternship
I was an integral member of the womenswear design team of Harvest Group, an outerwear supplier to many UK retailers. During my internship, I worked on their ASOS project for SS16 raincoats. As part of this, some of my print designs were selected by ASOS and were included in their Rain Mac SS16 range. The job focused on CAD designs, liaising with the Far East manufacturers, attending customer meetings with buyers and keeping up to date on all the latest and upcoming trends.

Education
BA(Hons) Fashion, First Class Honours
- Leicester, United Kingdom
I completed my degree in Fashion Design at De Montfort University with First Class Honours. My personal highlight was showcasing my debut collection on the 2016 Graduate Fashion Week catwalk.
In my degree projects, I demonstrated dedication and self-motivation. I developed a reputation for innovation, which was exemplified by a daring collaboration with a glasswear design student as part of my final collection.
I was selected as a finalist for the 2016 Karen Millen portfolio award. It was recognised for its level of detail in design development through the use of toiles and illustration and for its presentation of samples and concepts through a mixture of clearly detailed hand-drawing and CAD. I also won De Montfort University’s School of Design Fashion Design Award in 2016. In 2015, I won the Scantex group project award with four other students.
