My name is Rav and I have worked in development as an intern at the BBC Religion and Ethics department in Salford since July 2016. During my internship I successfully created, developed and assisted with the production and filming of documentaries (such as 'The Selfless Sikh: Faith on the Frontline) and successfully developed short feature ideas for 'Songs of Praise' on a weekly basis. Over the Christmas period I worked a primarily as an archive researcher - whilst also undertaking production co-ordination tasks - for a four part series called 'Fern Britton Meets...'. I have also gained invaluable filming experience in my current role - which will be broadcast as a major observational documentary on BBC One in April 2017.
I am hard-working and driven individual who has experience in making factual documentaries and programming. I have proven experience successfully, and consistently, developing innovative and new stories from conception to broadcast. As a history student, combined with my experience at the BBC, I am able to research complex and multi-faceted data and present it in an understandable comprehensible way for a wide range of audiences. I am extremely passionate about making factual television and constantly challenge myself to find engaging stories, and creating powerful content for whatever I am working on
