My specialities are Brand Identity and Publication Design, although I have experience on a variety of projects and am always looking to learn new skills. • Fourth Year Modules are based entirely on independent art practice. This year I have been focusing on developing my skills using Adobe Illustrator and creating works in a range of media that cover themes such as the rising elitism in the art world, craft, and an interest in biomorphic shapes. • In third year our modules were split between an art history dissertation and art practice. My dissertation: “A discussion on the unlikely relationship between the artwork of William Morris and Grayson Perry”. Through, writing this dissertation was when I developed my interest in the elitism within the art world, and focused my practice on creating patterns. • Throughout my four years at Newcastle University I have also learnt and developed skills in the printmaking department, and regularly use lino and screen printing in my own work. • Taken part in various optional workshops. Most recently I took part in a two-day workshop which taught me basic computer coding skills that can be used for animation. Teamwork has been key throughout the course, in third and fourth year we work towards funding our degree show, by creating events and running a café in the department. This also includes advertising each event with posters and social media posts, budgeting and good communication skills throughout a large group of individuals.
