Previous positions: Intern (Sep 2011 - Mar 2012) Gallery Assistant (Mar - Oct 2012) I held a wide range of responsibilities, working closely with all team members to ensure the smooth running of gallery operations, exhibitions and art fairs. My main responsibility was to support and develop the work of represented and exhibiting artists, and to liaise with critics, curators, museums and art institutions to promote and generate public awareness of the gallery programme and artists’ work. I oversaw the gallery communication and marketing strategy, including researching and writing all gallery texts and press releases, seeking press coverage of gallery exhibitions and artists’ work, coordinating artists’ publication and managing the gallery website and social media accounts. I was involved in all aspects of exhibition installation and art work production, organised private views and other events, managed the gallery archive and database, and supervised interns.
I assisted Bergit Arends, Curator of Contemporary Art, with the planning, production and installation of the exhibition Lucy + Jorge Orta: Amazonia (2010). I supported research for, and writing of exhibition interpretation leaflets and conducted preliminary research for the academic and artistic conference Supersonix (2012).
