About me
Born, raised and still residing on an as and when basis in Northampton, England, I am an interdisciplinary visual artist, advocate, story telling filmmaker and social activist with a strong research interest in the themes of place, home, nostalgia, identity and community. As a self confessed jack of some trades and master of very few, I work predominantly with film and both archival and snapshot photography, where the subjects of the works and their stories and histories are more important than design or editing (although I am a sucker for colour and composition). I also explore themes surrounding queerness, familial relationships and mental health, and community activism. The constant influences and long standing loves of my life are the Mountain Goats and Northampton town, the Midlands black hole that has made and broken me in equal measure. I'm looking to gain further experience working on both freelance and in-house contracts, in particular within film directing, editing, and cinematography. I have some of my own equipment and am confident in recording sound, alongside videography and working with still images. I am based in Peckham, and am always open to collaborate, in particular with fellow working class and queer creatives.
