About me
Currently the second year student union representative of Fashion Photography and Styling within this I am also a representative of Fashion Editorial. Expanding my creative skills and knowledge is key to me. Over the years I noticed that when it came to our personal ‘style’ of work I couldn't pick just one media that I wanted to follow, I wanted to follow them all: As a result of this, mixed media collaboration became my style. Photoshop, InDesgin and Illustrator are not strangers to me. I have touched upon a variety of skills in a wide range of media's. Some more than others but they included: Monoprinting, Dry Point Etching, Ink, Lino, Embroidery, Quilting are all physical quality’s that I have learnt. For years I used to make my own clothes and recently this has faded as my focus has been on education and the projects it entails. Currently in process of getting a BA(hons) within Fashion Promotion and Imaging. These skills taught to me have prepared me and incorporate all the media's that I currently work with as well as getting a inside into the fashion industry. When not educating myself I am a barista at Starbucks, I love having a job that is creating allowing me to express myself in different forms, it also taught me the art of perfecting and meeting clients expectations.
Projects
  • The New Way
The New WayTHE NEW WAY D.I.Y Stylist- Klaudia Wichtorowska and Olivia Webb Photography- Mariam Gomez and Samparella Chipasha Model- Julia K 'The New Way' is the main fashion feature within Tense Magazine. The New Way encourages and shows the reader how to revamp old garments, in particular unloved denim. Quotes from our stylist are featured on each double spread. The styling was the focus of fashion feature, vintage outlets and charity shops was the start of our hunt, then to the back of our wardrobes. Majority of the garments shown have been cut up and make into something timeless and modern, We wanted to use blue gels within the feature to compliment the denim and add an creative new element to the photography. This was particularly challenging as it was shot on location inside a small hotel room where the light was unpredictable and limited.
