I was promoted to Head of Online Content after working as an Online Features Sub-Editor last year. Through this job, I organise and maintain the online website for Bournemouth University's online platform, Nerve. I work with Nerve Radio, News and Magazine as well as an editorial and writing team to create daily relevant content
I got this job after successfully completing a six week internship. I mainly assisted the digital marketing team with SEO, PPC and social media with researching and writing blog posts for clients, completing social media content plans and updating client's blogs and social media. I learnt how to use Google Analytics and Adwords, Moz and MODX
I worked for a month as an editorial intern for Woman and Woman's Own Magazine. I was mainly assisting the Editorial Assistant with day-to-day activities at the magazines as well as writing copy and sourcing images. I also liaised with PR companies in requesting items and images for future articles.
I worked at Waterstones for three years, working as part of a wider team to maintain good customer service and help with the running of the store, frequently working on busy weekends and at Christmas. I was usually based in the children's section, dealing with requests and maintaining the accepted visual standards of the store.
