Masters of Design Graduate

Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Sep 2012
  • The course focus' on business and branding strategy in China and Hong Kong, in an Industrial Design setting. During my postgraduate studies, I have continued to develop my design and presentation skills, and further my knowledge of business and manufacturing in Asia. My course has enabled me to visit manufacturing sites in the Pearl River Delta, understand how branding and marketing can be used to link the West and China, and given me the opportunity to work with the Size China Lab at Hong Kong Polytechnic University on an ergonomic mountaineering helmet.

2011

Industrial Design Research Intern

Simtech, A*star

Jul 2010 - Jul 2011
  • I was a research intern in the Product Design and Innovation department. The position involved my design skills being utilised in client projects in the aeronautical and medical sector, as well as in interior and event design. My internship in Singapore, not only helped me to broaden my knowledge and confidence in my design skills, but also gave me an insight into designing in Asia, and allowed me to gain important work experience skills. It provided me with a platform, to improve my team working skills, my communication skills, and my personable skills, whilst fully immersing myself in Asian culture.
