Work history
    PR and Communications intern
    London, United KingdomInternship
I am currently undertaking an internship with Camron PR, a Design Communication company based in London. During this time I have learnt valuable lessons about public relations, design communication, project coordination and direction. With Camron I have contributed to the coordination of events at London Design Festival and Frieze Art Fair, and worked with clients such as Universal Design Studio, COS and Design Miami among many others. My role within one of London’s leading creative communication practices has equipped me with crucial skills such as pitching to and communicating with clients and press, writing project reports and agendas, assisting at events and press tours, project research, office administration, proofreading news letters and press releases and tracking and clipping coverage.

I have carried out work experiences every summer with interior, installation designer Giles Miller Studios since 2015 , the opportunity has allowed me to understand how a design company works and operates. The company specialises in bespoke tiled wall pieces for hotels, bars, restaurants and shops, the pieces are designed and made by hand by a small team within the studio. The work experience is really creative and interesting, each project being very di erent and unique. I was able to work along side the design team learning new computer skills and being taught the initial stage of design often carrying out tasks such as creating mood boards, joining client meetings to help chose colours, tiles and designs. Also undertaking admin work for the studio and learning vital office managment experience such as emails and calls, helping organise events and managing and maintaining the office space. I was also able to gain experience with the practical side by working with the technicians and making the Installations. I have gained knoledge of diverse materials and learning new making processes that have broadened my knowledge of workshop practice.
