Director of Library of ThingsLondon, United Kingdom
About me
I bring people together to make good ideas happen. My current project is Library of Things– a start-up on a mission to make borrowing better than buying. More affordable, more convenient and more socially rewarding. I'm leading the charge to find communities across London who want to start a Library of Things site where they are. I'm also looking for investors who believe in Library of Things to support the development of our replicable smart borrowing kiosk. My previous projects include developing community workspace Impact Hub Brixton, community business network Open Project Night, surplus food sharing initiative People's Fridge Brixton, as well as various neighbourhood-level leadership programmes. I'm also an advisor and trainer, delivering consultancy and training with community organisations, public sector bodies & corporates around: + Participatory design + Sustainable business models for community assets + Crowdfunding & fundraising + Volunteer recruitment & management + Hosting & facilitating + Creating community-owned sharing economy platforms

To highlight these organisations, we asked 10 creative changemakers to each nominate 10 people behind inspiring brands, products and movements with amazing social

Don’t tell me – it’s a philosophy salon in Shoreditch? It’s much more grounded than that. LoT is a new social enterprise based in Upper Norwood Library that allows people to borrow house and garden tools, cooking utensils and even the odd ukulele. Sounds good. But how does it work? The founders wanted to create a resource for the community and managed to crowdfund £9,000 to get started. Many new i
