My name is Rebecca Van Alten, a Dutch/Canadian originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and moved to the Netherlands in 2016. I have been working in television and film production for the past three and a half years, gaining experience while working in a range of production environments, from scripted to reality series, and occupying a variety of roles from Assistant Director on set, to Distribution Coordination for an indie film distributor.
Creating accurate and attractive television transmission schedules within strict daily deadlines, while liaising with brand to ensure their absolute satisfaction is met with specific channel requirements. This has been a fantastic place to help me further develop my organization and time management skills, all while working in a corporate environment, and meeting high priority deadlines each day.
I picked up all tasks thrown my way to ensure the daily office routines, as well as film acquisitions went as smoothly as possible. Some of my job requirements included assisting with accounting duties such as invoicing and payment tracking. I also handled the coordination and distribution of press releases, and managed social media campaigns for both the company and individual film releases.
