I am a recent Masters of Design graduate from Swansea College of Art at the University of Wales Trinity St David after also completing my BA (Hons) in Surface Pattern Design. I am ambitious, skilled and hard working and am keen to relocate for job opportunities within creative and professional industries. My portfolio of work is a combination of laser cut patterns, intricate drawings and digitally printed patterns for interior items such as wallpapers and cushions. My skills can be applied to all types of surface print design such as interiors, fashion and stationary. I have used my Mdes year to create an interior collection whilst strengthening my portfolio through various processes and techniques. I have a keen interest in all things interior and stationary based as well as the marketing and business aspect behind it.
I spent two summers from June - August at Camp Monroe, New York through the organisation Camp Leaders. The first summer i worked as an Arts and Crafts instructor teaching children ages 8-16 various art techniques and activities, I also looked after a group of eight ten year old girls while i was not instructing. For my second summer working at Camp Monroe i took up the role as a camp counsellor which involved looking after a group of eight eleven year olds. My role included taking them to and participating in all their daily activities as well as making sure they'd completed daily tasks such as making their beds, writing home and folding their clothes. My two summer experience at Camp Monroe was extremely rewarding giving me the chance to experience different cultures, travel and gain confidence and maturity.
