About me
Currently a freelance creative working in the field of graphic design and music journalism. A recent graduate of the London College of Communication, I have acquired detail-oriented attentiveness and developed exceptional problem solving skills through my academic experience—skills that are highly compatible with my strong working knowledge of industry leading software applications such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Muse and Illustrator. I have recently finished a six month internship at an award winning design studio, Cartlidge Levene, where I worked on projects for the Tate, V&A and Derwent London. I help co-run an online music website, Truants, in the past 7 years, where I conduct in-depth interviews with both up-and-coming and well-established artists; sharing releases and collating exclusive premieres and mixes that have seen Truants' fan-base grow exponentially. Truants is now home to a global collective of 25 creatives, showcasing a range of distinctive voices and perspectives on music, night-life and other creative fields.

Work history
    Editor
    Full Time
For the last seven years I have been the co-editor of online music magazine Truants, which starting off with three people has now since expanded to house 24 different contributors based around the globe. The team behind Truants is a tight-knit family of writers and designers, driven by a shared interest in music. Truants’ mission statement is to showcase positivity in music writing and, in an ever-increasing divisive journalistic climate, seeks to make both music journalism and music accessible and inclusive. My role as editor and one of the original three has led me to oversee most things design and editorial related, host Truants club nights in Amsterdam, Paris, Helsinki and London, as well as taking the task of running our much respected Truancy Volume series, which Juno Download describes as “regularly exceeding the efforts of many larger sites” and Mixmag calling us one of the “strongest mix series to date.” With 60,000 unique visitors a month on the site and 50,000 unique listeners on our Soundcloud a month the Truants brand continues to grow. Here I’ve daily been in direct contact with labels and artists in the industry, meeting their demands and requests and keeping strict deadlines, all whilst forming strong long lasting relationships for any future musical based endeavours. Past clients include Fabric, Boilerroom, Red Bull, Ostgut Ton, and more. http://truantsblog.com/
    Graphic Design Intern
     - Internship
For two three month periods from the beginning of January I was employed as an intern at award winning design studio Cartlidge Levene, a company acclaimed for its intelligent, creative and beautifully crafted design. With a client roster that includes the Barbican Centre, Guardian News and Media, Selfridge’s & Co, Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert Museum, the five person studio had me working on some of these brands from the get go; creating and testing type sizes on location, working on signage icons to be used in the Tate, and drawing out elevation drawings to help with scale when working within Adobe programs. With such a small studio, major responsibilities were handed our from the start, and I was quickly preparing presentations, working on any adjustments that were needed by clients and brainstorming ideas for commercial hoardings.
