In running my own content marketing agency I have perfected my leadership, project management, and content strategy abilities. Managing several projects concurrently, I have developed and implemented a wide range of processes to both streamline and reduce the end cost of campaigns. As a content marketing agency, I have worked on various projects within content strategy, creation and consultation, including the creation of a daily news content strategy and print magazine creation emphasising online re-purposing.
Taking up a newly created role at a B2C online publisher with high profile sites within the personal finance and culinary verticals, my primary responsibilities were marketing a new financial SaaS offering, enhance existing monetisation efforts, and to create new revenue generating campaigns. In particular, I spearheaded both an SEO analysis of our newly relaunched website, and an email marketing audit. Both resulted in ongoing ROI for the company, while paid content promotion via social media and PPC campaigns generated direct revenue through lead generation and affiliate commissions.
At an international events, publishing and thought leadership organisation, my role quickly evolved to heading up the company’s content marketing efforts and managing a five-strong content team. My key accomplishment here was completely re-aligning the organisation’s content strategy towards digital, updating and evolving content investments to achieve ROI in the digital landscape. Responsibilities covered editorship roles across two websites, three email newsletters, one print magazine, four social media brands, and three research reports.
Sourcing and authoring daily, localised business news for a daily newspaper within Oman, my role also involved stepping up to the position of business editor when my superior was out of the office, and writing for other sections of the newspaper. A key responsibility in my capacity of deputy business editor was to select, sub-edit and prioritise international news-wire editorial.
