The bachelor's study program "Art History, Criticism and Media" is designed to prepare a wide range of art researchers who are able to perform various research (artistic, artistic, theatrical, photographic, cinematic, dance, design) art objects and phenomena, evaluating them from an artistic and historical point of view and presenting them to the public. , through media channels, information and communication technology products and platforms.
The programs are characterized by an integrated approach to art, where students are provided with basic knowledge of art forms (architecture, art, photography, cinema, theater, dance), are introduced to the complex development of art, taught to analyze, criticize, evaluate art, organize and curate art, communication and education projects, communication art and culture phenomena in public space.
The program aims to highlight the importance of the media in artistic communication and in the mediation process, taught as an artistic content (e.g. art history or critical text) conveyed through a skirt: from traditional media (television, radio, press) to modern digital communication technologies (internet, social networks, platforms). , computer programs).
During the studies, students are encouraged to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, to try out various contemporary roles of an art critic: from a historical or critic to an exhibition curator or organizer of cultural events, from a cultural media worker to a museologist or art educator.
