- S/S 2014 A Multi-Sensory Experience Based on the Fascinating World of SyneasthesiaFor the penultimate MA project, we were given an open brief that allowed us to create and investigate into the field of fashion we were interested in. I have always been interested in the human senses, nostalgia and interactivity, therefore I have created a Multi-sensory , trend forecasting experiences based on the condition of Synaesthesia. Synaesthesia is a condition whereby the person experiences more than one sense at a time. In this book I have explored a number of interactive techniques to adhere to all 5 senses. I have used techniques like Flocking, Embossing, Puff Binding, Thermochromic Inks, screen printing fragrances onto each page, optical illusions, digital printmaking and edible paper.
- Young at HeartFor the final project in my MA I decided to collaborate with Lucy Gilbert again and we created a project that was influenced by a generation of people between the ages of 60 to 100. The main aim was to create fashion fabrics based on the lives, personalities and surroundings of these people and so we created a fabric swatch book filled with designs along with a supporting concept book that gave an insight into each subject.
