Careers Consultant for the School of Art & Design, with interests in creative self-employment, social media and personal development. Delivering one-to-one and group careers information, advice and guidance, and working in partnership with the School of Art & Design to develop employability and enterprise strategy and work towards agreed KPIs.
My additional responsibilities have included:
* Co-ordinating our "Fusion" series of creative careers workshops, focusing on employment and freelancing options and skills for Art & Design students.
* Managing social media for Art & Design Employability, including use of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram (coming soon), as well as disseminating messages using the NTU virtual learning environment.
* Writing and editing content for the Art & Design Employability blog, including research into current issues, gathering case studies and presenting written content from others: http://ademployability.wordpress.com.
* Attending course committee meetings to keep abreast of course specific information and represent Art & Design Employability to selected staff and students; also writing and editing the A&D Employability Bulletin to distribute to individual subject areas.
* Hosting and project-managing the AGCAS Creative Careers Event "Making Employability Visible" for careers professionals working with the creative industries (May 2017).
