For three years I have managed the Official Charts Company’s consumer facing music website OfficialCharts.com - the home of the UK's Official Singles and Albums Charts. The role has involved developing a new content strategy that has seen the site’s traffic grow from 1 million unique users a month to 3 million UUs a month.
As Content Manager, the role has involved:
Creating engaging, original and shareable SEO-friendly news, features and interviews to drive web traffic and increase engagement with the Official Charts brand.
Using analytics tools to help maintain and improve traffic and engagement and achieve editorial and commercial objectives.
Secure talent for features and other Official Charts branded events, working closely with agents and PRs.
Manage all the site's social media platforms and constantly experimenting with the latest tools and developments.
Collaborate with the in-house commercial team to drive revenue and help create marketable packages.
Music Editor

For four years I worked as Music Editor at entertainment website Digital Spy. The role required me to manage and maintain a high level of news flow, sourcing news from talent, social media and PR contacts, as well as conducting interviews with high profile artists across a range of music genres. Other aspects and achievements within the position include:
Grew the music section from half a million UU a month to 2.5 million UU in two years.
Conducting interviews with high profile artists across a range of music genres as well as television and film.
Witty and concise feature writing including album/single reviews as well as regular features in response to hot topics.
Managing music reporters by directing them with daily tasks, weekly user targets and conducting appraisals.
Invited as a talking head on a number of radio stations including BBC Radio and Absolute Radio.
Experience in music festival coverage and red carpet reporting.
