Creative, Ambitious, Diligent Currently working in Hong Kong, returning to London mid January 2017. I have 3 years experience working in a Client Account Management and Business Development role within the fast paced and highly pressurised financial sector. Working as a Bond Salesperson at RM Capital Markets Ltd - a boutique bond brokerage located in Edinburgh and London I was responsible for introducing and developing new client and dealing relationships. Clients included: Stockbrokers, Asset and Wealth Mangers, Private Banks and UHNW Individuals - including CEOs of major UK and International Companies. I built this client base up from scratch, introducing more than 120 clients to the company, through cold calling, producing marketing material and organising client visits. I embraced the client facing element of the role, tailoring my approach to satisfy the clients needs and was passionate about delivering excellent results for them. Incredibly motivated and confident in character I have an entrepreneurial and proactive work ethic engrained within me. I played the prominent role in introducing and developing the Retail Bond franchise at RM Capital. I was at the forefront in pushing for LSE membership and propelling RM Capital to becoming a well respected and integral part of the Retail Bond sector, a sector which RM Capital were not previously involved in. Since leaving the world of finance I have been able to focus on several personal creative projects through my creative studio Bobby’s Garage, projects included; restaurant interiors, product design, contemporary art, furniture design, website and graphic design for a variety of private and commercial clients. I have also had extended periods of time in Central Europe, Asia and the Middle East during this time. I believed it was important for my professional development to experience and embrace a new working culture and lifestyle, hence moving to Hong Kong January 2016. The experience has been wholly fulfilling and rewarding. I am returning to London January 2017. It is important for me to now seek opportunities which are in-line with my professional skill-set of Client/ Account Management and Business Development and my passion for creativity. I wish to forge a career within the creative sector utilising both my creative nature, education and professional experience. Currently working in Hong Kong as an English teacher. An exciting opportunity in which I had no previous teaching experience. I believe it's important for my professional development to work abroad for a period of time, exploring and immersing myself in new cultures and ways of working and living. Role: Fixed Income Sales Manager Location: Edinburgh/ London Business Development and Prospecting: Introduced and developed new client relationships and business to the company; achieved through prospecting calls, marketing mailers and emails. Clients included; stockbrokers, wealth managers, private banks and ultra high net worth individuals. Communication: Liaising with clients on a daily basis via daily Morning Market Report, email, phone and Bloomberg IB - keeping clients abreast with top market stories and current bond investment opportunities. Having to be exceedingly articulate, both orally and in word, was a must when dealing with clients in the fast paced and sometimes temperamental world of financial trading. Sales and Marketing: Trading corporate and government bonds on a daily basis, negotiated best pricing for clients, managing client expectations, identifying investment opportunities and putting sales notes and marketing material together for clients. Highly motivated goal/ target orientated environment. Organisation and Events: Through working as a close team I developed an autonomous work ethic; contacting, organising and meeting with potential and existing clients throughout the UK and Channel Islands. Managing my own tight timetables, budgets and logistics.
Role: Senior Account Manager FX-Match is a subsidiary business to RM Capital Markets in which myself and the CEO of RM Capital ran and developed whilst working together. Team Management and Development: Managed and led a team of 6 Account Managers in a high pressure, results driven working environment. Marketing & Design: Identifying and targeting potential untapped markets. I created a highly successful targeted mail campaign to the agricultural community within the UK; identifying farmers receiving an annual subsidy from the European Government in Euros, we were able to provide a competitive alternative to transferring this back into Sterling than the banks.
