  • As Operations Manager at The Idler Academy, a bookshop and event space in West London, I am required to: • Source tutors and material to develop courses that fit The Idler ethos. • Programme & manage all external events – Supper Clubs / festivals / pop-up shows etc. • Create and maintain systems for the day-to-day running of The idler Academy including development of bookings systems and management of finances. • Compose product descriptions and upload these to the Idler website (Wordpress) and other online mediums – social networks, course portals, Time Out.

  • As Festival Coordinator at Port Eliot Festival, a 10,000 capacity arts festival, I was required to: •Manage entry into the festival – instructing ticket companies; developing entry systems; overseeing procedure and pricing; sourcing gate staff, signage and wristbands. •Book and manage tents. This includes sourcing and siting of all venue tents across the site and instruction and management of all punter Boutique Camping options. •Act as Artist Liaison across the four main stages. In advance: issuing of contracts, working within strict budgets to negotiate riders / performer requirements. During: Managing artist check in and last minute problem solving. •Run festival social network sites and produce copy for the programme / website. •Act as Special Projects Organiser – develop and implement non-venue specific projects and performances e.g. Mobile photo booths, wild swimming, kayaking, outdoor cinema. •Wardrobe Department (WD) Manager. Role in WD planning area layout, drawing up of budgets, meeting Fashion Designers, building timetable of activities. •Other responsibilities: Disabled Liaison – I respect equality and diversity by both developing general festival policy for disabled access and dealing with disabled individuals on a case by case basis, working with festival sponsors and assisting the festival directors.
